Grades are in and other news

December 17, 2008 at 8:56 pm (Fall 2008, Fun Stuff, Life, School) (, , , )

Finally, all my instructors have posted semester grades.

  • Juvenile Justice Procedures – A
  • Criminal Investigations – A
  • Human Biology – A
  • Society and Technology – A
  • Chamber Choir – A
  • Sunstance Abuse Pyschology – A

 Credits Completed – 50

GPA – 3.88 (so close…… but its been steadily going back up since that B in Statistics set me back a bit….)

School News:

I’m glad winter break is so long (did I mention its snowing!!!), becuase I have so much to get done…  I usually spend the first week not doing much, then the next five weeks are for catching up on anything I need to do.

I am in the midst of 3 wonderful winter storms.  One Monday night and Tuesday, the second Wednesday (now), and the third overnight and tomorrow morning.  The first brought 8 wonderful inches of snow, and by Thursday there could be up to 2 feet of snow!!!!!!  I’ll upload pictures later.

Other News:

I really can’t think of anything too exciting.  But, have you heard of “reborning“????? It’s downright creapy.  People take dolls, treat with acetone, bake, paint, and turn them into lifelike (plastic) babies.

Let It Snow!

December 15, 2008 at 8:11 pm (Fun Stuff) (, , )

According to the national weather service, my house will be hit with two major winter storms this week.

Between now and tomorrow morning, we are supposed to get 8 – 16 inches of snow.  Then we should get another 12 – 25 inches on Tuesday.  On Wednesday there is a 70% chance of snow (but no estimated amount yet).  On Thursday, the chance of snow goes gown to 20%…

Hot cocoa, and sledding, and snow men, and pictures, and so much fun!!!!!!

If you are unlucky enough to not have a wonderful winter storm this week, check out the Make-A-Flake website.

Ice Skating

November 17, 2008 at 8:46 am (Fall 2008, Life) (, , )

I love ice skating. It’s some combination of being able to go fast with little effort, the cold air, the sound of the blades cutting across the ice, and everything that makes ice skating so wonderful. Ice skating makes your problems go away, you can just skate – free of the day to day limitations.

I wish I could get on the ice more often, because it really is one of my favorite things to do. But because they have to work around three hockey leagues (kids, adults, and pro) the only open slate when I’m not in school is Sunday evenings. Oh well, I guess I can deal with that. Though here is a marketing tip: the rink should sell season passes or something rather than having to pay $4 every time…

Ok, so when is north-central Arizona going to get the first snow of the winter?

Just so you know, today has a high of 52 and a low of 30 with a 0% chance of precipitation.

The official average first day of measurable snow is December 9.

So what will it be this year?
