Home Again

Well, after my flight got delayed, I got home a 3am.  Overall, my trip was good, but aside for the lack of water here, I’m happy to be home.

Then today, I got to upgrade my cell phone.  I went from my trusty LG Chocolate to the Motorola Krave.  Its pretty nifty!  I’m still trying to figure it all out, but so far it’s fun.

Also today, I got a couple things I had ordered.  First, the 2009 pin from the National Law Enforcement Memorial (Police Week 2009 is May 10-16).  I also got a LED shower head that has blue or red lights depending on the water temperature.  And then, I got this neat push-up trainer thing.  I really like it, and think it will help me a lot.  The only thing is, part of it vibrates, and it tickles sooooo bad!!!!!!

One of my favorite snack foods is dried fruit and veggies from the company Just Tomatoes.  With only one ingredient, “absolutely nothing added,” they are healthy like fruits and veggies, with the crunch of less healthy snacks.  Well, I just discovered that they are now carrying my favorite fruit – apricots! Yum!!!

Somehow, I always forget how much I don’t like to travel. I have a hard time trying to fit into someone else’s routein. There’s no good, or at least typical, food available. The bed isn’t like home. It always just ends up being more stressful than I anticipate.
I know tomorrow will be fun, but right now I’m hungry and just want to be home.

Post-Graduation Plans

December 31, 2008 at 10:07 pm (Fun Stuff) (, , , )

So, for graduation (I know – still a year away…), I am planning a trip to Germany.  I want to go in the near future, but I want to know enough of the language to not have to hope people speak English.

My idea at the moment is to fly into Munich (München) and spend a day or two at the Olympic Park (Olympiapark).  After that, I want to take the train to Füssen.  From there, go to Schwangau and stay at the Hotel Müller for a few days while visiting Schloss Neuschwanstein and Schloss Hohenschwangau.  Then, I want to go to Salzburg, Austria, again by train.  But, because of the Alps, I’d have to go by way of Munich, so that might not fit in this trip – unless perhaps I fly home from Austria…
