Which is really better?

So when I’m staying here, I get an Executive Suite, their biggest room (well suite ’cause there are 2 rooms).  Well, last week, there was a big group here and they had to put me in a Junior Suite (their second biggest room).  I have to admit… I liked the Junior Suite more… It is actually a room not a suite which really means more living space, ’cause who really needs a “living room” for 2 nights… And there was a counter and a comfier chair… oh well.

A couple years ago when I was in Alaska for the first time, I got to go snorkeling.  Yep, snorkeling in 43 degree water.  It was really fun.  I got to see all sorts of fish and pet a jelly fish underwater (there were a ton of them!).

Since it’s been several years, you may be wondering why I bring this up.  Well, tonight I went running.  My right (bad) knee was a little sore, and my left shin seems to be developing shin splints ( 😦 ).  Well one option was getting ice, but the pool looked much more tempting.

Now, I’m sure you’re thinking a pool in Phoenix can’t be that cold, well, in a cold snap in October after the sun has gone down, that water gets cold!  It wasn’t quite 43 degrees, but it was cold!!!

speaking of which… it is definitely time to go back to Alaska…

Somehow, I always forget how much I don’t like to travel. I have a hard time trying to fit into someone else’s routein. There’s no good, or at least typical, food available. The bed isn’t like home. It always just ends up being more stressful than I anticipate.
I know tomorrow will be fun, but right now I’m hungry and just want to be home.
